Everyday AI features like chatting with a case and summarization are drawn from a generous monthly allowance — most firms never exceed it. Firm Intelligence features like dashboards and charts are always free; Analysis and Forecasting are priced per run, or you can subscribe for unlimited access.
Is LawWorks really free to use?
Yes. There are no seat fees, no monthly minimums, and no contracts required. Your entire firm can use the platform — case management, intake, pipeline tools, document storage, e-signature, communication, dashboards — at no cost. You only pay when the platform produces AI work product for one of your cases.
When do I get charged?
You are charged only when LawWorks produces an AI work product — a demand letter, medical chronology, complaint, or other document. The price is fixed per document and shown on this page. There is also a per-case cap so you never pay more than a set amount on any single matter.
What is the per-case cap?
The per-case cap is the maximum you will spend on AI work product for a single case. Once you reach the cap, all further AI work product on that matter is included at no extra charge. The cap is also reduced by any prepay discount you have.
What are the prepay discounts?
Prices on this page are pay-as-you-go list prices. If you prepay by buying a credit balance, you receive a 10% discount. Auto-refill gets you 15% off, and a monthly contract gets 20% off — our best rate. The discount applies to everything, including the per-case cap.
Do I need a credit card to sign up?
No. You can sign up and start using LawWorks immediately without entering payment information. You will only be asked for billing details when you request your first paid work product.
Can I cancel at any time?
There is nothing to cancel. Since there are no subscriptions or contracts required, you simply stop ordering work products. Your firm retains access to the free platform tools indefinitely. If you are on a prepay or contract tier, your balance remains usable.
