A local community organization in Irvine needs help - and what they need may help you clean out your closet and get rid of unwanted items cluttering your space.

On Sunday, February 2, a four-alarm fire in Irvine destroyed the offices of Working Wardrobes in Irvine. This amazing nonprofit has helped more than 105,000 domestic violence survivors, veterans, and those experiencing homelessness or other life-changing issues train for jobs, prepare for interviews, and dress for success in the working world.

Now, everything they had is gone. But Working Wardrobes isn’t giving up, and neither are we!

At LawWorks, we’re collecting items to help Working Wardrobes build themselves back up. So, take some time to check your closets or home offices for gently used items you may no longer need. If you have any of the following items, please box them up and drop them off at LawWorks:

  • Professional clothing, such as suits, shirts, ties, dresses, skirts, etc.

  • Casual professional clothing

  • Shoes, bags, accessories

  • Computers

  • Phones

  • Office supplies

Working Wardrobes is also accepting gift card donations for the following amounts:

  • Stater Brothers - $25.00

  • Gas Cards - $10.00

  • Subway -  $10.00

  • 1-day OCTA bus passes

LawWorks is located at 18650 Macarthur Boulevard, Suite 300 in Irvine, in The Launch, just across from John Wayne Airport. We appreciate anything you can donate, and will give every donor a free LawWorks t-shirt If you don’t have any physical items to donate, but would still like to help, you can donate to Working Wardrobes online here.
